Variable Operations Trainer
I have worked with Cable Dahmer for 24 years since I was a teenager from greeting, filing, and receptionist to sales and management. I have 4 beautiful children and have been with my love for almost 9 years. My lifelong commitment to remain faithful to God, my family, and people is what drives and encourages me to grow to be a better person every day.
How do you bring core values into your role?
Process Loyal is focused on daily from the beginning of the day paying attention to routine of how the day should go and ensuring that we are following Cable Dahmer processes in all aspects to assist in resilience in our company when times change or get harder. Process ensures we are all marching the same march in the same direction.
Attitude is brought into my role by ensuring a smile, looking for "how" and never saying no. Doing my best to provide positivity versus negativity throughout the day.
Integrity through focusing on remembering God sees everything and how does he feel about my actions and or decisions and trying to be a better person every day.
Growth Mindset by taking on challenges, looking for any opportunity to grow our people and processes. By looking for good in people and their natural talents to continue to grow leaders in our company.
Coachability by being open to new ideas and how I can personally be better as a leader for our people and our company.
How do you measure whether training is driving behavior change or checking boxes?
We ensure doing this by actively paying attention to the growth of not only the department and company but also the individual themselves.
Is the individual moving up in their understanding of their position? Are they seeing wins? Are they growing in their income and being able to accomplish their why's for themselves and their families?
We are able to measure by the engagement of the person in how they are interacting with other team mates and with clients. CSI/SSI and ESI are very good gauges of if our training is driving behavior change.
What is your vision for a training culture where everyone teaches and learns every day?
Ideally, our morning training is held not only by managers but also by sales team members. Every member is able to train what their competency is to others around them whether it be mini training, during rhythm meetings or training a new person at our company or new person in a new role. Training/Coaching should be happening moment by moment through out the day - First by walking the walk as leaders but also by ensuring that the team members are all actively engaged in role playing or doing something productive right now to grow or accomplish what their current role requires them to to be successful.
