I had my 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 in for service due to A/C not blowing cold when idling. They found the compressor had went bad, also mentioned the condenser should be replaced but warranty wouldnt cover it. They had to have my warranty company send an advisor out which took two attempts, (not so much an error on the dealership but still a bit of a hassle) the vehicle they gave me for a loaner they gave some extended time on due to this issue and it was covered so that was a nice trade off. The vehicle a/c now works, but they had the vehicle for two weeks due to this and a vacation i went on, and then the bad occurs, i pick up the vehicle pay more than my deductible of 200 dollars for other work that they saw necessary but the warranty wouldnt cover (belt for the compressor why does GM make this only available to be taken off by cutting it instead of using a tension belt that cna be replaced...pretty dumb imo) but nonetheless additional costs made my out of pocket expense 630 bucks. After i picked it up on saturday 05/30/25 from getting back from vacation, i get a "service transmission now" on my dash, i drove 3 places and it says "service transmission now unable to shift soon" first off i already hate going to the dealership for service, and maybe this is just all happen stance maybe, but my conscious just wont let me believe that something wasnt messed with at the dealership forcing me to come back for more work. Im going to take my truck to a different dealership and let them tell me what they think and/or see. The error code P07B4 shows a transmission park position sensor, not sure where the sensor is, but i know it is for the electronic shifter, was it messed with at the dealership...possible, but i dont know. what i do know is my conscience wont allow me to take it back for more work after this whole ordeal so im going to try a different dealership and service if they say they are two complete different happen stances then maybe i'll come back for service. if not I fear this servce team has lost my service going forward. Time will tell. Not happy about it at all, literally the same day i pick it up, its drivable enough to when i got home i got the first notification saying "service transmission soon" I will be calling them and letting them know that it doesnt make any sense for this to have even left the dealership with this happening. Probably wont get any type of good response from them other than bring it back for more work smh. Wouldve gave 1 star but at least the A/C piece was fixed at the end of the day.
*update tried to email the email address listed in the reply and got a kick back message. Undelivered.. Not a good look. Check your email spelling and send it again so I can actually reach out to someone*
*update again* hoping changing the star gets a reply back to this updated review, as the first email didnt work and i received a kickback email saying dmoberly@cabledahmer.com is not a legit email, after emailing wecarebgind@cabledahmer.com also contacted service to speak with my rep who handled the compressor work, Nick, no reply and running out of time in the service work day to receive a call back. was told that he would be alerted this morning when i called the first time...hoping to hear something back.
